Dr.
Cesar R. Sabates completed his undergraduate studies at the University
of Miami in 1983, where he received his BS in Electrical Engineering.
Dr. Sabates received his DDS from the University of Missouri - Kansas
City School of Dentistry, where he later completed his Graduate
Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. Dr. Sabates is
currently on the faculty of the University of Florida College of
Dentistry as a Clinical Assistant Professor and a member of the Core
Faculty at the University of Florida's Hialeah Dental Clinic.
Dr. Sabates is an active member
of the: American Dental Association ADA, Florida Dental Association
FDA, South Florida District Dental Association SFDDA, Miami Dade Dental Society
MDDS, and The Academy of General Dentistry AGD.
Dr. Sabates is a Fellow of the American
College of Dentists, The International College of Dentists and The
Pierre Fauchard Academy. In addition, Dr. Sabates has received
professional recognition and awards. They include:
Dentist of the Year - South Florida District
Dental Association, Outstanding Member of the Year - West Dade Dental
Society, Dentist of the Day-Florida House of Representatives, The
American Society of Dentistry for Children Certificate of
Merit, The American Academy of Dental Radiology Certificate of
Recognition, The American Academy of Oral Medicine Certificate of
Merit, as well as proclamations from the Mayors of Miami-Dade County
and Miami Beach.
Dr. Sabates is currently
the First Vice-President of the Florida Dental Association. He is a member
of the ADA’s House of Delegates, a Past President of the South Florida
District Dental Association/East Coast District Dental Society, The
West Dade District Dental Society, The American Brotherhood of Latin
American Dentists and The Latin American Academy of Osseointegrated
Dental Implants.
Dr. Sabates has lectured
nationally and internationally on a number of dental topics including:
Implant surgery and prosthetics, Aesthetics, Bulimia and complex
restorative issues. He has been an author or co-author of several
scientific articles which appear in the dental literature.
Dr. Sabates
enjoys water sports, photography, teaching and spending time with his
wife, his two sons, and his dog Buddy.
